- Instructor Training
“I wanted a program that I could teach internationally”.
Learn why Monica chose to study with National Pilates Training & how she finds the Pilates Diploma.
I first discovered the Pilates Method when I had a neck injury in 1997 and sought Pilates for successful rehabilitation. After that I participated in ‘less structured’ classes at local gyms and always loved the sessions.
I had a life change, and at 48 needed to re-skill but I had criteria, wanting to find a career that would tick certain boxes; something that I loved; working with people, but also something that would keep me active both mentally and physically.
It took me a long, long time to achieve the certification and I am very grateful to you and the dedicated team at the Bourke Street studio for your highly professional, enthusiastic and committed tutelage and also your kindness and patience.
Looking back on my education, firstly as a Certificate IV – Matwork graduate and then a Diploma graduate, I cannot help but to feel a sense of community and a feeling that, ‘I want to be back amongst it all…’. I know all good things must come to an end and it was time I became an independent instructor free from NPT. With no delay, I was hired as an instructor with Melbourne Pilates Group and here my journey continues to this day.
I started my career with National Pilates training in April 2011, when I started studying the Certificate IV in Pilates Matwork Instruction (91492NSW). The course was so enjoyable and practical, that by the end of the year, I had signed up to upgrade to the Diploma of Professional Pilates Instruction (91491NSW), to learn how to be a studio instructor. What I love about NPT is their down to earth practicality – I always felt like I was getting the most comprehensive training on the market and that I would be fully prepared to work (and work well!) in the industry on completion.
