In 2013, less than a year later, she began instructor training at the Pilates Fitness Institute of WA (PFI). While still studying her Diploma, Mel decided to make a big career change from working in the chemical industry to the Pilates industry. She was employed as an instructor and HR Manager at PFI before moving to Melbourne in 2016. Mel completed her Advanced Diploma of the Pilates Method at National Pilates Training in 2018, and has since joined NPT as a faculty educator and assessor.
